We want to celebrate today by encouraging everyone to focus on self-love and prioritizing their own well-being. It’s so easy to get caught up in hectic lives, busy work and family schedules, but to ensure your own health and happiness, sometimes you must focus on YOU!
“Love yourself enough to set boundaries. Your time and energy are precious. You get to choose how you use it. You teach people how to treat you by deciding what you will and won’t accept.” Anna Taylor.
Decide on this day to prioritize yourself and find a form of self-care that is good for your body and soul!

Essential Oils
Essential oils are compounds extracted from plants that have the scent of the plant they are isolated from. Commonly used in aromatherapy and alternative medicine, these oils can easily be used at home to support your health and overall well-being. They can be used to manage stress and anxiety, improve sleep, decrease inflammation, and help with headaches and migraines. Although not meant for ingestion, essential oils can be applied directly to skin, used in a diffuser or bath, or during a massage. Self-Care Saturday
Has all the stress from the past few months and weeks taken a toll?
Trying planning a self-care Saturday!
Spend the day doing things you love and relax! Also try treating yourself and your immune system right with a cup of fresh ginger-turmeric tea. It does not only taste wonderful, but also warms you from inside and has an anti-inflammatory effect. Simply pour hot water over a thumb-sized piece of ginger and some turmeric (fresh or powdered) and enjoy!
Benefits of Walking
One of the things we encourage our clients to practice during Metabolic Balance is physical activity. No matter your activity level, moving your body can have amazing physical and mental benefits!
A great way to get your body moving is simply by taking a walk. Whether it is early in the morning while watching the sunrise or while listening to a relaxing podcast in the evening after a long day, moving your body can be energizing or restorative. Not only will you be able to explore nature but you will get amazing benefits while doing so.
Studies have associated walking with helping maintain long-term weight loss, lower your risk of cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, and cancer, and increase work performance. No matter how long or short your walk, take a few minutes out of your day to enjoy the outdoors and do something for yourself!

Self-Care
Look after yourself!
One of the most important ways to do this is by practicing self-care.
Being your own best friend and being kind to yourself is vital. Sometimes this might mean taking it easy for a day, letting something go that’s not working for you, or focusing on your health and what foods your body needs to feel good. Self-care is something that can easily get lost in the rush of life or can be difficult to put in to practice.
Phase 1 at the start of your Metabolic Balance journey is sometimes referred to as TLC (Tender Loving Care) day! We want you to take it easy, be kind and nurture yourself. Try to incorporate small things into your day so that each day has moments of TLC!

Happy Friday!
As another week comes to a close we want to encourage you take time for yourself. Whether it is a walk in the sunshine, preparing a delicious meal, or reading a book, do whatever you need to care of YOU!

Happy World Water Day !
Today is World Water Day and we have a few facts about THE elixir of life – the human body consists of about 70% water and 99% of all metabolic processes take place in an aqueous environment. Thus, it is of course necessary that our body is supplied daily with the right amount of water. Healthy adults should drink at least 30 – 35 ml of water per kilogram of body weight (1 fl.oz for 2 lbs of body weight) daily. If it is difficult for you to drink “simply” water, then spice it up with mint or lemon. It is often easier to drink warm water, since it doesn’t quench your thirst. Simmer the water for 10-15 minutes – this can help in many different ways and support your well-being. Get used to carrying a water bottle with you at all times and drinking it in small sips throughout the day. This will ensure that you will be sufficiently hydrated throughout the day.

Happy Valentine’s Day
Even though Valentine’s Day is mostly celebrated as the day for romantic love – today is also the day to generally proclaim “Happy Valentine’s Day” to your family and friends (as well). Celebrate today as the day of Love to your loved ones – and yourself! Enjoy the magic of this special day.
By the way: Metabolic Balance is not only a successful weight loss program, but is also known to assist Cupid! How you may ask? Some of our clients have found love through Metabolic Balance.
While some met at group meetings, others have found a partner for life after losing a few kilos and gaining self-confidence. We love this – simply wonderful!
